    Homes.com is best known as a site to find an agent or a home. However, they also have a great resource for taking deep dives into neighborhoods and communities. While you are looking for that perfect place, you can find out the details about prices, schools, parks, activities, walkability, demographics and so much more.

    Bestneighborhood.org provides a different perspective on neighborhoods - one steeped in data. The site uses color-coded maps to show you differences in demographics, home values, employment rates, income…and so on. For those of you looking for places where you can find your political tribe, definitely take a look at the politics map so you can find neighborhoods that suit your preferences.

    Niche.com may be THE go to place to learn about a community you are curious about. In addition to providing sourced data on everything from crime rates to housing costs to school quality, it allows you to sort and search by key demographics like families, retirees, young professionals. You can identify communities that are diverse and/or walkable and/or rural, etc.

  • Get the Demographics and Details of any Congressional District

    The US Census Bureau collects a wide array of data through the American Community Survey (ACS) and County Business Patterns (CBP). The ACS provides detailed demographic, social, economic, and housing statistics every year for the nation's communities. CBP provides annual statistics for businesses with paid employees at a detailed geography and industry level. It is all organized and presented here at the Congressional District level.
