EXPLORE THE TOSS-UP STATES
-
ARIZONA
Arizona is great for retirees… and everybody else. The state boasts year-round sunshine, wide open spaces, fantastic cities and high quality services for 0-110 year olds. Whether you prefer urban living near Scottsdale and Tucson, or more remote spaces along Beeline Highway and in Pima County, Arizona has so much to offer.
IMPACT: Arizona offers you the chance to have an immediate triple impact. Congressional Districts 1 and 6, a Senate seat and the Presidential race are all predicted to be very close in Arizona and are likely to be instrumental in determining who is in the White House and which party controls Congress.
-
MICHIGAN
Michigan has a lot to offer those looking for affordable living combined with a thriving economy. Whether you choose to live in the center of the state near the capital, or prefer to be closer to Lake St. Clair (or one of the other nearby lakes), you can find your mix of hustle and bustle as well as tranquility in diverse and welcoming communities.
IMPACT: Michigan offers a triple opportunity for Democratic voters with three very competitive House races (7th, 8th and 10th Congressional Districts), a Senate race AND its critical role in the Presidential election in 2024.
-
NEVADA
Las Vegas gets so much publicity, many people don’t know about everything else Nevada has to offer. In addition to the world renowned nightlife and entertainment, this region south of Las Vegas has dozens of golf courses and tennis courts, beautiful nature settings, and the Colorado River. Henderson is also ranked as one of the safest cities in America, and Nevada is an affordable place to live, with no state or local income taxes.
IMPACT: The 2024 House race in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District is rated as one of the most competitive in the country. The Silver State was the Republicans’ biggest Senate miss in 2022, and the other Senate seat will be highly contested in 2024. And, Nevada is on the path to the Presidency.
-
NORTH CAROLINA
Throughout North Carolina, residents can count on thriving job markets, a diversity of housing options, fabulous liveability and great recreational activities. Water lovers might like to target the waterways near Albermarle Sound. City people may want to consider the region east of Raleigh. And, there are more than 100 academic communities to choose from for those who like the ambience and energy of higher education.
IMPACT: North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District is a toss-up, and needs new voters to help undo recent gerrymandering and to restore balance in the state. And, North Carolina has 16 electoral college votes that will play a key role in the race for president.
-
PENNSYLVANIA
Pennsylvania has a little bit of everything, including: culture, nature, and economic opportunity. The eastern region which includes Allentown, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton and New Hope offers museums, art galleries, and historic sites. And for nature lovers, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is a hop, skip, and a jump away, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, and fishing. In the middle of the state, the Susquehanna River serves as a throughway to a region full of history and outdoor excitement. While over on the west side of the state, Pittsburgh anchors a region full of economic opportunity and charming towns.
IMPACT: The 2024 House races in Pennsylvania's 7th, 8th, 10th and 17th Congressional Districts are toss-ups. And, Pennsylvania is considered one of the most important battleground states for the Presidential election. So, there is an opportunity to have an immediate double impact.
-
WISCONSIN
Boasting expansive farmlands and sparkling lakes, Wisconsin offers a landscape with diverse opportunities. From thriving healthcare and manufacturing sectors to burgeoning tech centers, the state features a strong economic pulse. Beyond work, communities radiate warmth and a deep commitment to sustainability, evident in farmers' markets brimming with fresh produce and festivals celebrating local agriculture. Whether seeking outdoor adventures, a vibrant arts scene, or a close-knit community, Wisconsin presents a thriving environment for career growth and personal fulfillment.
IMPACT: Voters in Wisconsin will have many layers of impact. Not only is the House race in Congressional District 3 expected to be a very close race, but the Presidential is a toss-up. And newly adopted State legislative districts mean that many legislative races will be exceptionally close, too.
-
GEORGIA
Georgia beckons with a lifestyle that's both easy on the wallet and rich in experiences. Whether you dream of a charming bungalow in a friendly small town or a modern condo in the bustling metropolis of Atlanta, Georgia offers an array of possibilities. Beyond affordability, the state boasts a true four-season climate. Escape the harsh grip of winter with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Those seeking outdoor adventure will find it in abundance, from the majestic peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the calming beauty of the Atlantic coastline. And when your appetite calls, Georgia will answer with its legendary Southern cooking. Georgia truly offers something special for everyone.
IMPACT: In 2020, Biden famously eked out a victory by fewer than 12,000 votes. In 2024, the presidential race is due to be just as close, if not closer. The 16 Electoral College votes could be crucial in determining the winner.
Georgia doesn’t have any toss-up districts in 2024 but a home and a vote anywhere in the Peach State will be meaningful in the Presidential.
